Aspen Aerogel Spaceloft bonded to 9 mm magnesium oxide board.

10mm spaceloft blankets can be bonded together up to 50mm.

Board size either 2.4m x 1.2m or 1.2m x 1.2m

Board supplied with vapour control layer or without.

Why Use Magnesium Oxide Board With Aerogel ?

Magnesium Oxide board is vapour open (breathable), hygroscopic and capillary
active. These are mechanical properties that are essential for a wall to be regarded as breathable. In combination with Aspen Aerogel blanket this system provides a vapour open solution to internal wall insulation which minimises the impact of insulating the interior of older buildings.

In addition Magnesium Oxide boards also have the following properties :-

Strong and resilient

Fireproof (A1 non-combustible)

Mould resistant

Exhibit good acoustic dampening

Good thermal performance

Hygroscopic - acts as a moisture buffer. The board absorbs moisture when humidity is high and then releases it when the humidity in the room drops - without damage to the structure of the board.
